Busy Bees in P1

16th Jan 2022

Primary 1 have been working hard this week. In Literacy, we explored rhyming words. We blended to read rhyming ‘at’, ‘an’ and ‘ap’ words and matched the correct pictures. We then had a go writing rhyming words by changing the initial sound each time. 🐱🦇🎩 In Maths we learned all about the number 7. We coloured rainbows and made shapes using the rainbow ribbon sticks as there are 7 colours in a rainbow. 🌈 We also paid for tasty treats in the Winter Cafe using the 1p, 2p, 5p and 10p coins. ☕️🍰💰 We listened to ‘Are We There Yet?’ as part of Shared Education. The story was all about going on holiday. We then sorted clothes depending on if we were going to a hot and cold place on holiday. This tied in perfectly with our Brr It’s Freezing topic as we discussed how to keep warm in the winter time. ❄️⛄️
