Catholic Schools Week Mass 21st January 2021

20th Jan 2021

Catholic Schools Week

24th - 30th January 2021

Theme for this year is Communities of Faith and Resilience.

The opening of Catholic Schools week will take place on Thursday 21st January 2021 with Bishop Donal McKeown celebrating Mass from St Eugene’s Cathedral on Thursday 21st January at 10 am in St Eugene’s Cathedral, via the webcam at Saint Eugene’s Cathedral. The Mass can also be viewed on Saint Eugene’s Cathedral Facebook page.

All schools from across the Diocese are asked to join on the webcam tomorrow and we ask that all our children watch tomorrow particularly our P4’s and P7’s who are preparing to receive the Sacraments this year.

This year, as you know, is the anniversary of the birth of Saint Columba/Colmcille, the Patron Saint of our diocese. He was a man of great faith and resilience, who followed God’s plan for his life, by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ wherever he went. In preparation for the Mass, we would be delighted if you could use the Oak Leaf Template provided to write a prayer for Catholic Schools Week.

A pack for each year group will be placed on the home learning page for everyone to work through next week
