CONFIRMATION NEWS-SUNDAY 3RD APRIL 2022

1st Apr 2022

Dear P7 parent/guardian,

I hope you are well.

We are looking forward to Sunday when the children will celebrate their Confirmation.

Mr Morrison and the children have been preparing for this sacrament and are ready to be confirmed. The children have practised in the chapel and know where they must sit and what they must do.

Please see the instructions we have received from the parish so that you are up to date on the timings and proceedings.

  • Candidates to be seated in the chapel by 1.45pm.
  • The maximum group total is 12 per candidate (1x candidate +2x parents +1x sponsor +8 others).
  • School has organised a seating plan for the children and their sponsors. Your child will be able to tell his/her sponsor where to sit.
  • Father Canny will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation.
  • Family members are not permitted to take photos or videos during the Ceremony but are welcome to take photos afterwards. Mrs Mc Callion (Miss Kerr) is the only person with permission to take photos while the sacrament is administered.
  • A class group photo will be taken by Mrs Mc Callion after the service and emailed to you on Monday.

The Derry Journal will attend the school on Monday to take a group photo for the paper. Please send the children to school wearing their Confirmation clothes.

Enjoy your day boys and girls.

Kindest regards

Mrs Bacheta
