Friday 12th March 2021 UPDATE

12th Mar 2021

Hello  everyone,

Thank you for another week of support and keeping in touch. Well done to everyone on completing another week of learning, both in school and at home.

The good news is that the Minister for Education has announced that the P1-P3 children will remain in school until the Easter holidays. This news is welcomed by everyone and we hope to hear similar good news about the P4-P7 children very soon.

As it stands the P4-P7 children will continue with remote learning until the Easter holidays and have no date set for a return to school.

REMINDER-SCHOOL CLOSURES

St Patrick's Day

We will finish at 12.30pm on Tuesday 16th March 2021 for St Patrick's Day holiday. Children can wear something green to school on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th to mark this holiday (optional). Unfortunately, we cannot have our whole school Ceile this year but maybe you could have your own Ceile at home and send us some photos/videos.

School will be closed on Wednesday 17th March 2021.

Easter Holidays

We finish at 12 noon on Good Friday 2nd April 2021 and return to school on Monday 12th April 2021 for Term 3.

In the meantime, we are going to have the best few weeks learning and playing together.

CHAPEL ROAD ART GALLERY

I would love if the children could do something for me in the run up to Easter and in the hope that we will all return to school after Easter. I am asking if every child would take some time to create a piece of art for our Chapel Road Art Gallery. I would like the children to draw, sketch, paint, colour or design a piece of art that I can display around the school for us all to enjoy at the beginning of Term 3.

The P1-P3 children will do this in school. P4-P7 children can use a range of mediums to create their master piece.

So when the children return to school they will bring this art work with them on the first day. It can be absolutely anything they wish to create. I am looking forward to the ideas the children will come up with and to see their creativity.

Have a lovely weekend.

Take care

Mrs Bacheta
