P4 - Home Learning - Week 7 🌈🌟

15th May 2020

Look at all the fantastic things Primary Four have been doing at home! 🌟

As May is the month of Mary - Rebecca, Sophie and Adam created beautiful May altars where they can go and pray to Mary. 🙏 They also drew lovely pictures and wrote some facts about Mary.

As part of our ‘Home Sweet Home’ topic - Rebecca completed her family handprints which she has proudly displayed on her wall - of course not forgetting her dog Taffy! 🐾 She has been practicing her handwriting every day, reading and colouring beautiful pictures. Rebecca also enjoys participating in Mary’s weekly online yoga sessions. 🧘‍♀️

Adam was busy in the garden this week, planting and making a bird feeder with his brother Owen. 🌻 He also built a den out his back with some sticks and wood. Adam got hands on with his play dough and created some masterpieces such as trees with apples growing on them. 🌳

Sophie got imaginative and used salt dough to make her handprints and then painted them. She has been keeping active and learned many new skills over the past two weeks. Sophie has learned to go on a two-wheeler bike and roller skates! 🚴‍♀️ Her Granda was also very busy and made her a swing out of some wooden beams, how lucky is she? 😊

We read ‘The True Story of the Three Little Pigs’ during story time. The children worked extremely hard on their tasks that followed this. Have a look at Orlagh, Odran and Rebecca’s wanted posters and the fantastic adjectives they used to describe Alexander the Wolf. 🦊

Noah is very eager and has been practising his fractions at home with a fraction board. 🤩

Megan and Ethan created scratch handprints with their brothers and sisters - how cool? 🌈

We had two story times through our Teams app. This week after our story we had a lovely chat about how the boys and girls celebrated what was supposed to be their special day. Some girls tried on their First Communion dresses, some girls got pampered and had a spa day at home. They even got their nails done and hair straightened. Some children had delicious cake and others had a movie day with takeaway and popcorn. 🎂 🎥

I just love seeing and hearing what you get up to each week! Keep up the fantastic work - you continue to make me so proud. 😊 Thank you to everyone who sent in photos for our news!

Stay safe and laugh plenty! 🌈🌸
