Primary 7 Lions 🦁 visit the Tower Museum
4th Oct 2019
Primary 7 Lions have been learning about Derry through our topic 'Location, Location, Location'. We visited the Tower Museum to learn more about how Derry got its name from Doire meaning 'Oakgrove'. Our Guide Colum took us through Derry's history, right the way from St Colmcille, the Siege of Derry, the troubles and ending at the peace process. The children were so well behaved and asked lots of interesting and relevant questions. We had a fantastic day out and are looking forward to our tour of the Derry Walls in a few weeks time.
