Primary 2 are Learning at Home!

28th Jan 2021

Well it has been a very busy couple of weeks for the Primary 2 children. They have been working so hard from their own homes every single day. They have been sending me lots of work, from book reviews and beautiful sentences to maths work and mental maths tests.

They have started spelling tests on Fridays and let me know their wonderful results. Every Wednesday we have been meeting on Teams to read a story, have a chat and try a new activity. They made pretty snowflakes and did Jack Frost collages with tinfoil, some of them even used glitter, my favourite! The class also have assignments to complete for me. They have a quiz on their Story Time book to make sure they have been using their listening ears. They are super at the quizzes, we may have some future contestants for 'The Chase'!

Our story time was lovely this week as we got to meet our new classmate Aaliyah. It was great to meet and have a chat with her. We look forward to next week already.

This week's story time was also a little emotional as we wished our lovely Aoife the best of luck on her move to her new house and school. She will be sorely missed by children and staff alike as she is just a great girl. We are wishing her lots of happiness in her new chapter and will be keeping in touch. We hope you love your new home.

Please can you give yourselves a great big marshmallow clap for all your work and be very proud of what you are achieving. You know you are all my Stars of the Week. Can you also give a big hug please to your family who have been great at guiding you along the way.

Enjoy a selection of pictures and see if you can recognise your work. Look out also for lovey Toby, he belongs to Faith and is a snow dog!

Take care

Mrs Kyle
