Traffic in and around the school will be heavier than usual. If you wish to collect your child/children earlier, please let us know. There is no canteen service on Thursday so the children will need lunch when they get home. We return to school on Monday 28th April 2025 for our summer term.

ROAD SAFETY REMINDER

Hello everyone,
Over the last year, we have encouraged the use of walking, cycling or scooting to school. It has been lovely to see the children taking up this challenge and becoming more active.
Unfortunately, I have had a number of complaints in relation to safety on the bikes as they leave school and travel down the avenue and up/down Chapel Road. The children on the bikes are not taking care to slow down and their behaviour is dangerous to the children themselves and the other children using the avenue. This has also been reported to me in the morning time.
It is both disappointing and concerning for everyone.
If your child cycles to school please talk to him/her about safety and showing respect for other pavement users.
I will also be talking to the children in the morning about this.
If this dangerous behaviour continues, we may have to review bringing bikes to school. I really hope this will be resolved after a few reminders about safety.
