Rosary Campaign For Peace

28th Mar 2022

The Catechetical Centre has asked that all schools in the Diocese takes part in the Rosary Campaign for Peace.

Schools in the diocese have been outstanding in raising aid and funds for Ukraine. We know you are all praying for peace. Our Lady of Fatima asked for the Rosary to be said each day for peace and so we would like to invite you to join a Diocesan School Community Rosary Campaign for Peace.

To date there are One Million child refugees from Ukraine and we would like a Hail Mary prayed for every one of them – that would be 20000 Rosaries!

How does it work?

A class could pray a Hail Mary - 1 Hail Mary x (no of children in class)

A class could pray a decade of the Rosary - 10 Hail Mary’s x (no of children in class)

A class could pray a full Rosary - 50 Hail Mary’s x (no of children in class)

A school could pray a full Rosary - 50 Hail Mary’s x (no of pupils in school)

Here is a link to a video from Fr Paul Farren explaining the campaign.

We ask that together as a school community we will rise to the challenge of Rosary Campaign for Peace and not only will the children take part in the Campaign at school but together as a family you will all continue the Campaign at home by saying the Hail Mary/Decade of the Rosary or the Full Rosary every night and pray for all the child refugees from the Ukriane.

Thank you

God Bless #rosaryforpeace
