Go Red for Ryan Day [2nd May 2025] Dear parents, We are supporting the 'Ryan McBride Foundation' fundraiser Go Red for Ryan Day on Friday 2nd May 2025. We would ask all children to wear red on the day and try to raise £5 sponsorship. All money raised goes back into the RMB Foundation s | Easter News P1-P7 classes finish for the Easter holidays on Thursday this week (17th April 2025) at 12 noon. Traffic in and around the school will be heavier than usual. If you wish to collect your child/children earlier, please let us know. There is no canteen service on Thursday so the children will need lunch when they get home. We return to school on Monday 28th April 2025 for our summer term.

P4 Shared Education - Week 2

19th Nov 2021

It's that day of the week again to meet up with our friends from Ms Bartlett and Miss Mc Feeleys class at Oakgrove Primary school. Again using our paddles we had to answer the questions "would you rather?". We had some super volunteers give reasons for their answers. One of the questions was would you a rather live underground? or b live under the sea? I've always loved the Little Mermaid so I think i'd choose B!

As the around of applause can be noisey with the three classes onscreen we decided to give a clap like they do on Strictly Come Dancing on a Saturday night for the contestant Rose who is deaf. Our problem solving this week was again looking at making a tower. This time we had to use 20 sticks of spagetti and 20 small marshmallows to build a tower. Before we started we watched a helpful video online that showed us what shapes are stronger to help build towers.

The results were great! We also split into smaller groups of 3 giving the children more of a chance to problem solve and voice their opinions. The real problem was trying to not eat the marshmallows!

Have a look at the super designs! Again another great day was had, we had so much fun!
