Summer Reading Challenge
The Waterside Library in conjunction with the Reading Agency will be organising a summer reading challenge.
The aim is to encourage pupils to keep up their reading activity during the school holidays.
The theme for this years’ activity will be ‘Wild World Heroes’ examining and reading around environmental issues.
However, the children may choose any popular reading material to take part in the scheme.
Each child registering will receive a poster and stickers on each visit to the library and a medal/certificate on completion.
Waterside Library’s scheme will run from Saturday 26th June until Saturday 11th September.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO!
- Go to your library this summer to join the Challenge – IT’S FREE!
- Sign up to receive your special Wild World Heroes collector poster
- Choose books to read over the holidays
- Collect stickers for each book you read
- Add the stickers to your poster to complete the Challenge and become a Wild World Hero!
