Week 4 Home school
Hello boys and girls. It is great to have you back at work this week. We have been super lucky with the lovely weather and getting good vitamin D from the ๐ . I know it can be harder to get motivated to work when the sun is out but you could take your learning outside. Have a look at Lainey practicing her key words in the garden. I took my children's learning outside too and we had art painting the stones for the garden ๐จ. My daughter also used chalk to make an obstacle course on the ground, hopping, jumping and skipping. I had great fun! Having lunch ๐ฑ in the garden is another nice thing to do, like Blaithin, Caireen and Corey, it gets you away from your desk for a while.
I've been getting more pictures that I'd like to share with you. For this week's key words Jack wrote two sentences, "Stay safe and stay at home" and "I miss school". I think these sentences are very good as Jack is right, we need to stay at home so that we can all get through this quicker. I understand you miss school and your friends, we all miss you sooooooo much too. I had to go into school to make us new home learning packs and I was talking to Harry the ๐ฆ . Harry said he misses you and all the noise, it is very quiet ha ha. He also said that you are all like little hedgehogs now and have to hibernate for a little while!
There has been lots of learning going on this week from life skills like baking cakes ๐ฐ with Sofia to sewing ๐งต buttons with Lana. Lana will have to fix my coat! To number work with Leighton, Sarah and Darragh. The Mathletics app is great. Look at Blaithin's big poster for telling the time, I love it! We have great artists too with Gerard using tissue paper to decorate his Easter eggs and Clara painting little figures. I think you would all agree that we would love to have a seat at Clara's outdoor cinema ๐ฌ at her street, how fun!
We are so proud of you and hope you continue to do some work every day to help your wonderful Sponge Bob brains grow ๐คฉ. I hope you like the new packs we have printed out for you. I am also hoping to try and do some video calls with you, but I will have to give your parents some information on how to set this up first. I will keep you posted, but would be lovely to see your beautiful faces soon.๐ซ
Take care
